the Back of an Envelope to a National Leader
Austin College’s language house program has provided a language
“laboratory” and a sampling of culture since 1980. The Jordan Family
Language House, specifically designed as a language residence,
provides students a perfect learning environment for mastering
foreign languages.

College Among Top 5 Colleges for Study Abroad
Nearly 72 percent of 2007 Austin College graduates
had an international study experience of at least one month during
their college years. That supports the 2007 Open Doors Report’s
ranking of Austin College at the No. 4 slot among baccalaureate
colleges for study abroad.
